Beijing public transport system uses buses with Yuchai National V heavy engines in volume

In 2010, the sales volume of Yuchai engines topped 550,000. As the biggest highlight of Yuchais sales growth, Yuchai heavy engines became a dark horse in the market. In 2011, Yuchai heavy engines will remain as the biggest highlight.

Yuchai heavy engines include seven series-YC6A, YC6L, YC6M, YC6MK, YC6T, YC6C and YC8C, of which YC6T, YC6C and YC8C apply to the areas of ship and generating set; and YC6A, YC6L, YC6M and YC6MK applies to segments such as bus, truck, construction machinery, auto crane, ship and generating set.

Yuchai heavy engines enjoy a prominent advantage in resource integration in the truck sector. With a displacement of 7.2L and a power ranging from 220hp to 260hp, YC6A, applicable to lightweight quasi-heavy trucks, has auspicious advantages such as light weight, low fuel consumption, low vehicle purchase cost, low operating cost and low maintenance cost. With a displacement of 8.4L and a power ranging from 260hp to 350p, YC6L is Chinas first engine model in light design, which is applicable to lightweight heavy trucks and has advantages such as light weight and low fuel consumption. With a power ranging from 280hp to 375hp, YC6M is a new benchmark for 10L heavy engines, which matches torque-demanding heavy dump trucks, cement mixers and high-speed & efficiency tractors, and can meet the need of modern heavy trucks for small speed ratios of rear axles and large diameters of tires.

In 2011, Yuchai introduced YC6MK, which overwhelmed its rivals in comprehensive performance and economy. With a displacement of 10.3L and a power ranging from 300hp to 420hp, the model is lighter than 11L+ engine, and satisfies the need for the upgrading of high-speed & efficiency tractors, heavy dump trucks and cement mixers. Heavy trucks can select appropriate engines to match the low speed ratios of rear axles to further reduce energy consumption and increase operating efficiency and attendance.

Yuchai heavy engines enjoy a leading advantage in emission upgrading and are technical resources shared by all automakers, which can get more emission upgrading solutions from Yuchai. Yuchai is the engine supplier with the greatest number of national IV engines and electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines owned in the market, as well as Chinas only engine manufacturer that has released National V products, whose EFI engines once served great events such as Beijing Olympic Games, the two national conferences and Guangzhou Asian Games. Also Yuchai EFI engines will provide Yuchais autonomous ECU when the time is ripe to further sharpen their competitive edge.

Yuchai has been ahead of its domestic counterparts, has taken the lead in constructing the four-valve EFI engine service network, and has upgraded its products to National IV and V ones. In 2011, it will increase the warranty periods of YC6L, YC6M and YC6MK engines with which tractors, trucks and buses are equipped to 300,000 kilometers or 24 months, far higher than the products of domestic counterparts, thus maintaining its lead in the industry.
