On the morning of February 15, the construction of the long-awaiting graduate apartment of Yuchai was launched. Chairman Yan Ping, Vice Chairman Li Tiansheng, President Gu Tangsheng, Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Jiasha and other leaders of Yuchai Group, all the staff of the group headquarters, leaders of all the departments of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., representatives of the new graduate staff as well as representatives of the construction units attended the launch ceremony.

The apartment is a residential building integrating catering, shopping, leisure with activities. Located in the southwest of the intersection of Yuchai Road and Miaoyuan Road in Yulin, with a Phase I area of 5,040 square meters, a total building area of 47,286 square meters, 29 stories, an altitude of 95 meters and a greening rate of 36.12%, the building involves 910 suites, including 832 business suites and 78 residential ones comprising two bedrooms and a living room each, is proposed to accommodate 2,728 people, and is equipped with six elevators as well as facilities such as central heating and water supply systems. With an investment of RMB 70 million, the project is expected to be delivered in July 2012. After being put to use, the apartment will fundamentally turn the situation of housing shortage facing the graduate staff and thoroughly free them from housing worries, thus laying a solid foundation for the further development of the group and the accomplishment of its magnificent twelfth five-year objective.

The apartment is one of the key projects in the reconstruction of Yuchai Square. In recent years, Yuchai has grown fast and made remarkable achievements. With the constant progressing of the objective of RMB 100 billion, Yuchais requirements for self-contained infrastructure have risen, making it imperative to construct Yuchai Square.
