On March 1, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) held the Supplier Quality Conference themed by Seeking New Strategic Breakthrough, Winning Quality Battle at Yulin Hotel to contrive a strategy on the objective of improving quality by 50%. Corporate leaders such as YM Acting General Manager Wu Qiwei as well as over 100 suppliers of YM were present.

This year, YM will achieve the objective of improving quality by 50%, spare no efforts to improve Yuchais product quality and endeavor to build satisfactory products. The accomplishment of the objective is determined by the improvement in suppliers product quality. Guided by the concept of blocking sources, controlling processes and optimizing resources, Yuchai will tighten the control of purchased parts and intensify workshop inspection to curb the inflow of nonconforming products at the source.

Wu hoped that all suppliers would join hands with Yuchai, consolidate confidence and cement cooperation with Yuchai to promote overall quality improvement and build fine engines.

The suppliers pledged to actively support the efforts of Yuchai to improve quality by 50%, Lin Fenghua, general manager of Binzhou Bohai Piston Co., Ltd., said, Based on Yuchais quality improvement, we will intensify staff training, establish multifunctional groups and send high-caliber talents to Yuchai for communication and services to comprehensively ensure the quality improvement of Yuchais products. Quality improvement is essential to occupying the market, back in the company, we will subdivide the quality target, work out the rectification plan and assist Yuchai in improving quality by 50%. Liu Guangjun, general manager of ASIMCO Meilian Braking Systems (Langfang) Co., Ltd., was quoted as saying.

At the conference, YM Deputy General Manager Chen Ningbin signed quality target warranties with the suppliers on behalf of Yuchai.
