On the morning of March 1, Chen Jin, director-general of Xiamen Economic Development Bureau headed a team of eight to Xiamen Yuchai Engine Co., Ltd. (XYE), visited the companys culture exhibition hall and engine exhibition hall, inquired into the companys business conditions, product characteristics and market layout, recognized the companys achievements in a short period, and announced the company to be a key enterprise in Xiamen.

XYE ranked 49th among the 150 selected key enterprises in Xiamen. The selection is based on enterprises gross output value, sales revenues, taxes and profits, and number of employees. The selected enterprises will enjoy preferential policies in such aspects as employment settlement and brand building, and will get more support in such aspects as resolving production operation difficulties and problems.
