Yuchai, Caterpillar seek deeper cooperation

On the morning of March 29, Caterpillar China General Manager Kevin?Thieneman, Caterpillar Remanufacturing Asia-Pacific General Manager Li Zhengyu, Caterpillar China Strategic Investment Director Wan Ping and Yang Shiwei, general manager of Yuchai Caterpillar Remanufacturing Co., Ltd. visited Yuchais headquarters. Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group; Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Zhang Shiyong, general manager of Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI); Yan Jie, assistant to chairman of YM and Tan Guirong, assistant to general manager of YM held talks with the guests.

In the talks, Yan extended warm welcome to the delegation headed by Kevin, saying the Yuchai-Caterpillar engine remanufacturing project in Suzhou was progressing smoothly, the two sides complemented each others advantages and the cooperation was pleasant. In the process, the two sides kept exchanging ideas on corporate culture. Hopefully, the two sides will further intensify corporate culture exchanges and promote mutual understanding to lay a solid foundation for future cooperation. He added that Yuchai was eager to expand cooperation with world-famous groups such as Caterpillar. Kevin said Caterpillar also hoped to carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation with Yuchai and share experience with Yuchai in engines, engine parts and parts of construction machinery to joint develop the market. Also, the delegation had in-depth and elaborate business exchanges with leaders such as Wu, Zhang ,Yan and Tan.

The delegation visits YHIs workshop

Before the talks, the delegation visited YHIs workshop, Yuchai Foundry Center, the heavy engine processing line of the cold machining plant, the heavy engine installation and commissioning line of No. 1 Engine Plant and the laboratory of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute to learn about Yuchais manufacturing scale and equipment and technical level.
