Recently, Yuchai was honored as Yulin advanced collective in caring for the next generation by the Yulin Municipal Committee for the Wellbeing of the Youth and Yulin Municipal Commission of Spiritual Civilization Building.

Yuchai has attached great importance to the wellbeing of the youth and designated the Trade Union of Yuchai Group in charge of the work. In recent years, Yuchai has focused on the following aspects:

I Carrying out minor education and paying attention to the healthy growth of juveniles and children. Yuchai took advantage of multiple promotion channels, gave full play to the role of the mass media, vigorously publicized advanced concepts scientific methods of child education as well as laws and regulations on child protection; carried out knowledge contests, fun activities for staff families, art shows and five-merit juvenile selections to offer ideological and moral education to juveniles and children, guide them in studying hard and thinking and exploring actively, and cultivate their good morality and behavioral habits; carried out the bodybuilding contest among planned infants of corporate staff under four to enrich their cultural life.

II Taking active part in the Spring Bud Program. Yuchai worked out the Plan for Supporting Needy Schoolgirls under Spring Bud Program, called on the staff to donate for the program every year from 2006, received a total donation of RMB 1.25 million between 2006 and 2010, and aided 500 needy schoolgirls in Yulin every year.

III Paying attention to the life and study of needy children. Yuchai established the staff loving supermarket to support the children of needy staff. In 2010, Yuchai aided 39 needy children and issued a set of school supplies to every child.

IV Carrying out family culture building activities. Since 2005, Yuchai has held Yuchai Family Culture and Art Festival every year, which included the family talent show, family dumpling making contest, learning in families knowledge contest and mother-in-law/daughter-in-law fun contest, and attracted teenagers; the activities have further enriched the cultural life of staff families and improved the quality of family members.

V Actively carrying out educational aid and reward. Yuchai awards the children of the staff admitted to key universities. In 2010, Yuchai awarded a total of RMB 140,000 to 58 children. Besides, Yuchai aids needy children at schools. In 2010, Yuchai granted a total of RMB 86,000 in aid to 51 needy children.
