On the afternoon of April 7, the award ceremony for model families, pioneering units and golden workers and the launch ceremony for the activity in 2011 were held at the meeting room on the fourth floor of Yuchai Power Building. Li Tiansheng and Zhang Jiasha, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group, awarded plates to 18 model families, 12 pioneering units and 11 golden workers. Liang Ping, chairman of the Trade Union of Yuchai Group, presided over the ceremony.

In 2010, the Trade Union of Yuchai Group carried out an activity for creating model families, pioneering units and golden workers among grass-roots trade unions. Through the activity, the trade unions guided staff in loving jobs, studying hard, working selflessly, forging ahead and making contributions, gave full play to the key role of the working class, and made remarkable contributions to constructing harmonious labor relations, building creative labor groups and accomplishing corporate production and business objectives. Upon assessment, the group trade union decided to name 18 branch trade unions including the trade union of the foundry as model families, two branch trade unions including the trade union of the lubricant company as competent families, 12 teams including the first body team of the heavy engine section of the cold machining plant as pioneering units and 11 employees including Yang Wanye of the cold machining plant as golden workers.

The event is an important carrier of Yuchais excellence campaign as well as a growth platform for Yuchais workers to improve capabilities and display talents. In 2011, the group trade union will continue the activity.

At the ceremony, Zhang extended warm congratulations to the awarded advanced collectives and individuals, fully recognizing their outstanding contributions and role of benchmark, hoping they would guard against arrogance and rashness, renew efforts and maintain honors to achieve new success in 2011. At the same time, she hoped grass-roots trade unions would make great efforts to cultivate pioneering units and golden workers; the group trade union should offer more help to grass-roots trade unions and trade unions of subsidiaries, and grasp the activity as a major event to serve corporate production operation and promote corporate development, to contribute to the accomplishment of the business objective of RMB 40 billion in 2011.

At the ceremony, the head of the second team of Line 08 of the body section of the cold machining plant shared his experience in creating the pioneering unit.
