On the morning of April 22, Yuchai Group held a publicity communication conference at the headquarters in Yulin. The conference required that corporate publicity work should be further intensified and improved, discussing existing problems of corporate publicity work and how to intensify the work. Corporate leaders such as Li Tiansheng, vice chairman and deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group and Party secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Zhang Jiasha, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group; Guo Deming, secretary-general of the Council of Yuchai Group and deputy Party secretary of YM and Liang Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group and YM, Party and political heads, grass-roots publicity group leaders and publicity backbone of all units of Yuchai Group as well as all plants and departments of YM were present.
The conference noted publicity is a low-cost and high-value-added management tool which can extensively arouse the enthusiasm of staff, create favorable work atmosphere, redouble management effects and boost corporate production operation. The role of publicity in corporate development should be fully recognized and publicity should be valued as the second management task of corporate production operation. Currently, many units have misunderstanding of and pay inadequate attention to publicity work, have improper sense of publicity, have insufficient manpower, funds and materials, and have problems such as deficiency in publicity system and mechanism.
The conference required that the company should deepen understanding, unify thoughts, systematically improve the groups publicity level in terms of system and mechanism, and give better play to the unique advantage of publicity to boost Yuchais development in the twelfth five-year period; should give further play to the role of publicity, incorporate publicity into the agenda of Party and political leaders of all units, regard it as daily management work, establish the mechanism for publicity assessment and mechanism for manpower, fund and material guarantee, and offer strong support and guarantee for publicity in terms of mechanism and system. Publicity should center on the central work of corporate production operation, serve corporate production operation, solve problems of production operation through publicity platforms, and mobilize the staff through publicity and work; should coordinate and give play to the role of corporate publicity media platforms to expand publicity coverage, innovate publicity and carry out more fine publicity activities; should grasp the direction of publicity, innovate publicity, enhance corporate reputation and popularity externally and delight the staff internally. Competent leaders of all units should be in personal charge of major publicity tasks, value publicity talent training and give more care and help to publicity staff; should strengthen responsibilities of relevant leaders, departments and publicity staff, attach great importance to publicity and train high-caliber publicity teams to offer strong support to the increase in publicity level.
The conference stressed that all units of Yuchai should understand and publicize the importance of publicity work from a wider view and a higher platform and strengthen the sense of responsibility and urgency; conduct corporate publicity with the strong sense of innovation, toughness and openness to provide strong ideological guarantee, mental impetus, public opinion support and fine cultural products for a good start of the twelfth five-year period and interpret a magnificent chapter of Yuchai for its 60th anniversary.
