On the afternoon of April 26, Yuchai Science and Technology Association (YSTA) held the first congress at the conference room on the third floor of Yuchai Power Building, announcing its establishment. Li Tiansheng, vice chairman and deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group, presided over the conference. Li Hanyang, chief engineer of Yuchai Group; Shen Jie, chief engineer of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) and Liang Qingyan, deputy general manager of YM, read relevant documents.

The conference elected members of the first committee of YSTA. Subsequently, Wu Qiwei, general manager of YM, held the first session of the committee, elected standing members, chairman, executive vice chairman, vice chairman and secretary-general of the committee.

Standing members of the first committee: Wu Qiwei, Li Tiansheng, Li Hanyang, Shen Jie, Liang Qingyan, Liang Ping, Zhang Jiasha, Xie Yuqiang, Zhong Yuwei, Wang Wei, Zhuo Bin, Li Qin, Lin Zhiqiang, Pan Guoyuan and Wan Shenglan.

Wu Qiwei was elected as chairman of YSTA, Li Tiansheng as executive vice chairman, Li Hanyang, Shen Jie, Liang Qingyan and Liang Ping as vice chairmen, and Wan Shenglan as secretary-general.

The session also approved the list of persons in charge of the five societies and two sub associations under the YSTA, including Tan Dahui, person in charge of the society for internal combustion engine; Pan Guoyuan, person in charge of the society for construction machinery; Li Wuxin, person in charge of the foundry society; Wu Qin, person in charge of the accounting society; Xiao Lin, person in charge of the management society; Xu Guowei, person in charge of the science and technology sub-association at CSR Yuchai Sichuan Engine Co., Ltd. and Deng Bing, person in charge of the science and technology sub-association at Yuchai Lubricant Company.

Wu delivered a speech as chairman of the first committee of YSTA, undertaking to well organize Yuchais scientific and technological team, build the association, endeavor to create a new situation of Yuchais scientific and technological work to make a greater contribution to Yuchais healthy and fast development.

Yan entrusted Wu to extend congratulations on the establishment of YSTA, saying it will offer strong support, hoping the association will support Yuchais future as the power for maintaining Yuchais lead in product technology and market advantage.

Kong Dejun, chairman of Yulin Science and Technology Association, was also present and extended congratulations on YSTAs establishment, pinning great hope for the associations future efforts in serving economic and social construction, improving the capacity for independent innovation and building a strong scientific and technological team.
