On April 28, at the commendation conference on labor contest in celebration of May Day in Wuhu, the testing group of Yuchai United Power Co., Ltd. (YUP) was honored as a "pioneering unit"of Wuhu by Wuhu Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).

YUP's testing group, made up of 12 members with an average age of only 23, works in collaboration, and makes members grow fast through measures such as having old workers help, teach and support new ones, and regularly organizing new workers to learn from and communicate with equipment suppliers.

The group actively conducts outstanding group building, brings collective wisdom into play, and made 14 reasonable suggestions and improvement proposals; carries out ?5S? activities and accomplishes visual management; optimizes the structure of testing trays, participates in testing process design, uses testing beds first, and boosts testing capacity.

The testing group has completed 1,500 engine tests since the first engine was ignited on October 10, 2010, and was honored as an "outstanding group in 2010" by YUP.
