With the annual wheat harvest around the corner, Yuchai has worked out several moves to serve the harvest.
Due to short period and tight schedule of the annual summer harvest, agricultural machinery basically operate uninterruptedly, requiring harvest engines to be adaptable and durable with low failure rates and service guaranteed. This is also a test for the services of engine manufacturers.
The staff (R) of a service outlet of Yuchai trains a customer on the spot
Since March, the general machinery service staff of the service center of Yuchai has carried out the following work early based on summer harvest services this year:
I Working out service plans. Before the summer harvest, service outlets in all wheat-harvesting areas visited large agricultural machinery customers for engine inspection and maintenance and customer training; and held summer harvest seminars in key market areas.
During the harvest, any customer having their machinery maintained at a service outlet of Yuchai may enjoy a free work hour of maintenance. Yuchais service outlets will issue foldouts on agricultural machinery maintenance and use and directories of summer harvest and offer maintenance training to customers; any purchaser of Hanhu engine oil will get a gift.
II Be prepared for parts support. Yuchai planned to input special parts worth about RMB 4.2 million in major wheat-producing areas such as Henan and Anhui as well as minor wheat-producing areas such as Qinghai and Gansu, to a parts support network running in all directions. By late April, almost all parts have been delivered to service outlets.
III Aiming at reported problems of wheat harvest in previous years, Yuchai frequently organized technical, quality and applied development departments to work out solutions, eliminate repeated occurrence of similar problems to ensure the smooth operations of machinery in wheat harvest.
IV Further intensifying information transfer. Since mid-April, through the SMS platform, the call center has sent SMS to customers, distributors and service outlets, informing them of notes for engine maintenance and thereby establishing information communication. Also, through offices, the center convened rally conferences on wheat harvest services for service outlets and agricultural machinery distributors.
Toe sharpen the expertise and communicative skills of operators of the 95098 hotline of the call center, the service center gave intensive training to the staff of the call center by groups to master the Measures for Common Troubleshooting of Wheat Harvesters and Use and Maintenance of Agricultural Machinery. Also, a QQ group consisting of offices, the call center and experts of the service center were established to offer technical support and share information before, during and after the summer harvest.
With less than a month away from the wheat harvest, through a series of service preparations, with full confidence, Yuchai is geared up for the wheat harvest in 2011 to ensure offer timely, fast and effective services to help farmers yield bumper harvest.
