On the morning of May 12, the three-day 2011 China Beijing International Exhibition on Buses, Trucks & Components (Bus & Truck 2011) opened at China National Convention Center in Asian Games Village in Beijing. Yuchai held a launch conference for upgraded bus engines themed by Strength and Nobleness, releasing 4 sets of convincing data and 5D noble technologies to inject new vitality for Yuchai to the maintain the lead in the Chinese bus engine market. Zou Huxiao, council chairman of the Bus Branch of China Highway & Transportation Society (CHTS); Pei Zhihao, secretary of the Bus Branch of CHTS; Zhong Yuwei, deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) and Lin Zhiqiang, assistant to general manager of YM jointly unveiled two upgraded new bus engines of Yuchai-YC6M420-40 engine and YC6L310-40 two-stage supercharging engine.

During the development of Chinas bus industry, Yuchai started from scratch in independent innovation of bus technology, was devoted to the research of the engine industry chain for decades of years, escorted Chinas bus industry by independent technical strength, and made outstanding business achievements, which are reflected in the four sets of convincing data released by Yuchai.

Data 1:10-Yuchai kept ahead in the bus engine market for a decade: over the decade, the digital curve for Yuchais bus engines rose steeply. Yuchai sold 18,000 bus engines in 2001 and increased the figure to 111,000 in 2010.

Data 2: 60%-Yuchais bus engines accounted for over 60% of the market: over the decade, Yuchais cumulative sales of bus engines topped 600,000, and number in possession accounted for over 60% of the bus market. 

Data 3: 60:35-Yuchais number in possession in the bus engine market topped 600,000, including 350,000 in the 10m+ bus market.

Data 4: 12345-Yuchai kept ahead all the way from National I engines to National V engines. As the largest controller of mobile pollution sources, Yuchai has always led the industry in energy conservation, safety and environmental protection, keeping the record of taking the lead to introduce engine systems of all grades from National I to National V engines.
