On May 31, the Party Committee of Yuchai held a market seminar. General Manager Wu Qiwei and Deputy General Manager Zhong Yuwei of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) elaborately analyzed the market situation, came up with countermeasures, stressed firm confidence and perseverance, and made arrangements for next-step work.

Zhong reported YMs marketing and the performance of Yuchai products in market segments in the first four months, analyzed and predicted the national macroeconomic environment, summed up the factors influencing the development of the auto industry, forecast the trend of the auto market in the next period, analyzed Yuchais crisis and existing problems, and pointed out the direction of next-step marketing work.
Wu further analyzed Yuchais market actualities, dissected Yuchais existing problems in such aspects as manufacture, quality, R & D and market, and came up with solutions and corrective measures. In the next period, the company will, by learning, introducing and assimilating production modes and quality cultures of advanced domestic and overseas enterprises, further optimize the companys production mode, strengthen the building of the quality culture, optimize field management and process layout, and eliminate quality problems at the sources; will tighten supplier management and strengthen supplier integration and rectification to create a first-class supplier system; will stress key points, and strengthen the building of capabilities of testing and applied development to ensure product superiority.
Wu was confident of achieving the objective of manufacturing and selling 600,000 units, including 200,000 units of heavy engines throughout the year, noting despite the pessimistic market situation, opportunities and challenges coexist, Yuchais annual objective will remain unswerving, hoping all the staff of Yuchai would turn market pressure into impetus, make bold innovation, maintain passion, broaden vision, seize opportunities, assume responsibilities and tighten quality control in an effort to achieve the annual business objective.
