Yuchai bus brand selection lasting nearly two months has entered into the critical stage: organized by the League Committee of Zhejiang Highway Technicians College, 50 student volunteers collated over 30,000 ballots collected from the selection from the afternoon of May 20, and completed the preliminary statistical work on May 23.
By May 19, the event had achieved staged results, received active response from the province's public transport industry, gained support from public transport enterprises in 11 cities, and attracted tens of millions of drivers, maintainers and passengers. So far, the organizing committee has received over 30,000 ballots, and many frontline practitioners offered valuable opinions and suggestions on bus brands. The organizer directly contacted several leading public transport enterprises for interactive activities, and delivered ballots to public transport practitioners in the province through road transport associations and transport administrations.
It is generally believed by public transport enterprises that the event is a good opportunity to help bus manufacturers perfect bus design based on the demands of practitioners and passengers, and is of great importance to increasing the service standards of the public transport industry. Also, contract owners, common drivers and maintainers deemed it their duty to participate in the event. Some organized the people around to fill out ballots and have them sent to the office of the organizing committee, some enclosed letters to the staff of the organizing committee, elaborating on their thoughts and experiences during purchasing and using buses, some felt there was something to add after sending ballots and made direct calls to the office of the organizing committee.
Most participators offered their suggestions and opinions on bus brands on collected ballots. This is exactly the original purpose of the organizer."Some brands have many new concepts and technologies, and many small defects as well", "the oil seals of wheel axles of some of our buses always break down", "After-sale services are yet to be improved", "the appearance of this brand is supposed to be adjusted appropriately, it has remained unchanged for many years"...
After the preliminary collation of ballots, the organizer's person in charge said, these opinions and suggestions will be precious wealth for the healthy development of Zhejiang's bus market, and the organizer will further collate and analyze them, summarize them and report them to the administrative department and bus manufacturers.
