YHI, USTB carry out all-round strategic cooperation

To step up talent training and boost corporate technical competitiveness, Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) has been actively promoting cooperation with several universities. On June 14, YHI and University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) concluded an agreement on all-round strategic and project cooperation. Zhang Shiyong, general manager of YHI and Zhang Wenming, discipline inspection secretary, deputy Party secretary and doctoral supervisor of USTB, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides. Also, the two sides exchanged ideas and reached consensus on matters such as running an engineering master program, training professionals and jointly building a postdoctoral workstation, and came up with ideas on future advancement and implementation.

As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and one of the countrys first institutions of higher learning that have established graduate schools, USTB boasts the most tremendous research strength in the specific field of construction machinery development in the country. This April 29, Zhang Shiyong headed a delegation to the university for an in-depth discussion on matters such as technical cooperation and talent training, and reached the preliminary intent of cooperation.

This June 13, headed by Zhang Wenming, a delegation of USTB, paid a return visit to YHI. Again, the two sides had an elaborate discussion on strategic cooperation and talent training, and concluded a strategic agreement. As talent is the core competitiveness of an enterprise, YHI has included the building of a core talent team in the main business scope of the company, will further cooperation with other universities, and will implement other supporting strategies of human resource management, to ensure the accomplishment of the companys strategic objectives.
