In memory of the Partys 90th anniversary and Yuchais 60th anniversary, on the afternoon of June 17, the Party Committee of Yuchai Group, held a reading forum themed by "in memory of the Partys 90th anniversary and Yuchais 60th anniversary" at Yuchai Culture Center. Li Tiansheng, vice chairman and deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group; Zhang Jiasha, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai; Liang Ping, chairman of the Trade Union of Yuchai and other corporate leaders, winners of the essay contest based on Splendors in Sufferings and A Brief History of the Communist Party of China, corporate culture commissioners, outstanding correspondents, and secretaries of general Party and League branches at all levels attended the forum. He Xiaoyu, director of the Publicity Department of Yuchai Group, presided over the event.

With the four subjects extracted from Splendors in Sufferings and A Brief History of the Communist Party of China--"belief", "self-improvement", "innovation" and "development" as main theses and clues, in light of Yuchais actualities, in forms of guest interviews and audience interactions, the forum discussed the role of corporate culture and the importance of self-improvement and innovative development, thereby guiding staff in fortifying ideals and beliefs, maintaining optimism, making great efforts, working hard, making innovation, assuming responsibilities and conquering difficulties to promote the healthy and sustained development of Yuchai.

Before the discussion on each subject, a clip illustrating the Partys key historical stage was played to enable the guests and audience to review and analyze historical events, draw lessons from history and thereby discuss historical experience for enlightenment on and reference by Yuchai in light of its actualities.

The guests and audience successively elaborated on their comprehension of "belief", "self-improvement", "innovation" and "development" based on the Partys glorious history and Yuchais history to form a heated atmosphere of interactive discussion and exchange. Their deep comprehension of the Partys and Yuchais history, as well as unique analysis of "belief", "self-improvement", "innovation" and "development" found echoes in the hearts of the audience, arousing thunderous applause. The guests and audience considered Yuchais 60 years brilliant development consistent with the Partys 90 years glorious history, which have much in common. It was because of revolutionary forerunners firm revolutionary beliefs and spirit of self-improvement, their development and innovation in the process of revolution and construction, as well as contemporary Party members consistent belief of power building, that the Party pulled out of early setback and failure, eventually overthrew imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat-capitalism, founded New China, succeeded in the reform and opening up, and created a brilliant history of 90 years. Yuchais remarkable achievements over the past 60 years were attributable to Yuchais firm pursuit of mission likewise. Similarly, the period is a process of constant self-improvement by Yuchai, a process of constant development and innovation by Yuchai, as well as a history of constant pursuit and development.

Li commented on the forum, considering the forums point of views correct and enlightening, hoping all staff will further strengthen learning, commonly establish a firm development belief, arouse work passion, sharpen the sprit of self-improvement, keep making innovation, pursue scientific development and make concerted efforts to achieve the companys development objectives in the "twelfth five-year" period.
