Recently, China Construction Machinery has published the list of the world's top 50 construction machinery manufacturers in 2011. Ten Chinese enterprises made the list, and Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) was listed for the first time and ranked 43rd.
In recent years, with the vigorous development of construction machinery in the world, domestic and overseas construction machinery manufacturers have been vying for the market, and the construction machinery industry has entered a new round of shuffle. In this context, YHI has seized market opportunities, followed market trends, and accomplished fast development in such aspects as product line, scale and brand by integrating external expansion with internal growth, through strategies such as self cultivation and acquisition & merger, thus becoming a rising star in the global construction machinery industry and the national pioneer in construction machinery.
On the basis of deepening the headquarters base in Yulin, Guangxi, YHI has preliminarily completed its rational global distribution. In 2010, YHI invested in establishing the North American branch in Canada and the European branch in Germany as the first step towards globalization; in the same year, YHI established manufacturing bases in Changzhou of Jiangsu and Luzhou of Sichuan, a global marketing settlement center, service center and financial leasing platform in Tianjin; optimized the construction of the supply chain and concluded strategic agreements with top domestic and overseas parts suppliers; performed the project of great informatization; made fast entries into fields such as mining machinery, piling equipment and aerial working on the basis of deepening earthmoving equipment.
In 2011, YHI carried out a new round of institutional restructuring. Under Yuchai's mode of management and control, all manufacturing bases have divided labor clearly, explored enterprise potential and enriched product lines to boost the strength of YHI. With the quantity of construction machinery possessed soaring to nearly 60,000 units, YHI has entered the first camp of construction machinery in the world.
While sharpening corporate strength, YHI has been focusing on cultivating the essence of the enterprise. For years, YHI has stuck to "building a market-oriented service system and core service competitiveness", adhered to the quality principles of "keeping moving, eliminating defects, making constant improvements and building high quality", kept to the service concept of "fastness, accuracy and fineness", and constantly built a competitive mode of brand quality, brand service and brand culture.
YHI strives to achieve sales revenues of over RMB 30 billion, go global steadily and establish a global supply chain and marketing service network by 2015, the end of the "twelfth five-year" period, thus becoming a world-famous construction machinery brand.
